Area Aid

I recently bought 10 acres of land to build a house but won't get to the building until next year or the year after. Could I give the grass to my father and allow him include it in his area aid (or whatever its called now). There was no entitlement with the land when I bought it. Any complications with this? I don't have the Dept maps for the land - how do I get them?

Hi greyhill

Yes your father can use it in his bps application and also for Anc. Area of natural constraint. He just needs to have enough animals to maintain stocking rate throughout the year to get this.
For the bps he would need to lease 10 entitlements for the land.

For dept maps. Just submit them on a land registery map and identify them as plot a, b etc. Just put in the towns land etc.

That seems straight forward? Can it be done through an informal arrangement with my father or will the dept look for lease agreements, etc? I'm new to all this so want to play safe.
