    Hi, after a bit of advice. Brought a 09 octavia few weeks ago and finding it hard to get mpg above 43. I had a 03 octavia before and was way lighter, wanted to sell 09 one but thinking off getting it remapped first to see if it helps mpg...
    Have read past posts here about older cars mostly all in favour of remapping but just wondering with the weak new engines is it a risky thing to do..

    Any help much appreciated and many thanks in advance

    There is more likely an underlying issue that should be fixed. I'd go that route first.

    Thanks for your comment. Plugged it in and no faults. Gave full service with desiel cleaner and no help.. Might be a small leak will have to get it checked
