Defamation case?

    I was in an incident tonight in my nearby garage. I drove to get diesel. I had my son of 2 years old asleep in the back. I put 30 diesel in.
    I went to pay and handed the teller a fuel card. They did not accept the certain one. He asked which pump , i replied black jeep. i used my visa instead and left. Another member of staff chased out after me shouting at me that i did not pay. Confused and extremely embarassed i returned to the teller accompanied by the other member of staff. The place was packed with customers and i was extremely embarassed. He said i paid for the wrong pump and said i owed him 10 euro. I then handed a tenor cash and left in a hurry still confused and embarassed.

    I returned home and my partner sent me back down to talk to a manager and get a receipt. No manager was available and the teller told me he could only give me a receipt for the 20 visa transactiin and not the 10 cash.

    I feel really let down here and embarassed by someone elses mistake.
    Do i have a case of defamation?

    I'd just get on with my life. Worse things will happen to you so save your outrage for then.
