Tarmac resurfacing

My parent's tarmac drive is starting to look a little tired after 5 years, no cracks as such but there's a few sections where the stone has been kicked away to form shallows where the rain puddles.

The drive is approx 35sqm and I'm wondering if anyone here would know the approx cost and perhaps put me in the right direction of someone who could resurface the drive. I'm assuming the top layer of existing tarmac would have to be taken up to avoid the finished height of the drive increasing? Many thanks in advance.

A tarmac drive should easily last 10 years or more. There may be a problem with the subbase or it might have just been a bad tar job (too thin, bad mix, etc). You need to find out what caused the problem so it doesn't happen again.

Any chance of some photos? An oil leak would cause localised pitting problems.
