Hitting up Galway on the June bank holiday weekend instead of Dublin for a change and would love to know if here's any underground nightlife/rave scene going on. Worst comes to it we'll end up in Carbon but would love to avoid it.

Afaik there is none of that underground stuff
If you are considering Carbon then maybe Karma would work too.

Karma has been closed for a few months for renovations. Maybe the small room downstairs in Electric (is it still called Factory?)

It's not exactly underground, but there are parties in the Aras na Gael club and the Commerical Boat club on some weekends.

I would look at facebook for that kind of stuff, but I have no links.

Check out Galway Basement Project on Facebook. There's an all day party on this Sunday....
