5-7 seater options for 6-7k

HI all, my wife is looking to upgrade our family car. Currently drivig a 2006 citreon xzara picasso, that we are hoping to part exchange with approx 5-6k. We have two kids but are considering a third so space will be of a premium We dont want to be spending alot on tax so where hoping 1.4-1.6 lt. My wife doesnt do much driving apart from the school run etc with the kids in tow, we generally use my e39 touring at the weekends. Any help would be great as we are hearing mixed reviews from owners of Citreons, VW's, Toyotas etc.... so we are open to recommendations.

If I was in your position i'd have a look at a petrol Mazda 5 if you can stomach bit higher tax, something like this..

2009 ones are €750 tax, 2008 are €636

They are pretty reliable and sliding doors are handy in tight spaces
