Should I use cavity blocks or solid blocks?

    Hi all,

Looking at a project of building a bar in my back garden (all within planning permission regulations). Should I be pricing it based on building it from cavity blocks €1.30 (440MM X 215MM X 215MM) or solid blocks €0.60 (440MM X 215MM X 100MM).

Is there any advantage one of the other? Any safety concerns?

    Thanks,

    K

Cavitiy blocks will go up quicker.
If it was a house/extension, I'd say solids, but imho for a garden shed, I think cavities are fine.

I'd still recommend you render them internally with a sand/cement mix before applying insulation etc
