Very disappointed. The trailer for this looked good but it turns out they just picked the best bits from the series and made the trailer. Hardly a laugh at all. The DJ character is funny but has been on the go for years so I've seen the act several times. Perhaps it's just me but it's the poorest new BBC comedy I've seen in a while.

I forgot all about that tonight.

Shame, as you said the DJ character has been going for a while but he never struck me as someone who should be on Primetime BBC1 .

I must say the reason I was disappointed is that the show is centred around the comedian behind the Ivan Brackenberry character. I read that there was a pilot or one off of the same setup last year which sounded better as it had a plot and direction.

The pilot last year and the trailer had Sally Philips who is just brilliant. No sign of her in the show and, t be honest, I can see myself getting tired of seeing the same person playing different characters very quickly. There wasn't much of a plot n this so far, a few basic pointers for sure but it felt like something that'll outstay it's welcome pretty quickly.

I'll give it another chance. In fairness, my impression of this was that it was a vehicle for a number of hospital related comedians or sketches turned into something that worked as a show. I think it'd be a good one off but as a series, I'm not so sure.

I was drawn to it too because of Sally Phillips being in it. Disappointed she wasn't in it though. It wasn't very subtle, it was more of a Mrs brown type of comedy trying to be a mock documentary. Although Alex McQueen was great in it, I have to say!

He was, and that's the problem. The other characters aren't strong enough to carry this show. It's why I'm disappointed there's no Sally Philips. She could do a lot to carry this along with the guy playing the 4 characters. She played the administrator is the one off. The show needs a quality comic actor to elevate it.

I'm surprised this got prime time billing after HIGNFY on a Friday evening. It's a shame BBC3 has gone. It's the ideal home for this show.
