    Hi,
I have two beauty related questions that I would like help with if possible.

    1. Can anyone recommend a mascara that won't 'bleed'? I've tried most drugstore brands both waterproof and smudgeproof but without fail within an hour of applying mascara I'll have black smudges above/below my eyes and almost nothing left on my lashes. Anyone experience this/have any recommendations?

    2. I want to change to silicone and sulphate free shampoo and conditioner- any one have a favourite brand?

To your first question what are you putting under/around your eyes?
If all mascaras are bleeding the problem could be oil or products like concealer causing it to smudge, try using power on your skin around the eye to soak up any excess oils.
I currently like the bourjois illuminating rice powder for around my eye area and I never get smudges anymore.

I have a very basic beauty regime. I wear foundation (Bougoise healthy mix) don't use powder. I find powder sits in the fine lines and bags under my eyes making me look older/drained

You need a good tubing mascara, you can get them in Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Loreal, Dior, most brands do them.. depending on what youre looking for. Maybe ask at a beauty counter or chemist.

Different powders can do different things, if under your eyes isn't dry it'll keep wetting your mascara every time you blink and off it comes!

You could try a tubing mascara or try using powder like I suggested which means you can use any mascaras....
    I do know the pain!

Thanks a million for the responses. Probably a stupid question... how do i know if a mascara is a tubing one or not? Also any specific powders i should try and do i apply all over or just under my eyes?

Ive not personally used a tubing mascara, I dont have problems with smudging but theyre known to work. Ask at a makeup counter, I know boots usually have a smashbox and some other beauty counters, most chemists do. Just ask for a tubing mascara or help with choosing one. You can use it on its own or on top of your usual mascara and this will stop it smudging.
You'd apply powder where ever you think you need it so anywhere that gets very oily or you notice your makeup smudging or slipping. I only put powder on my nose, chin and forehead but ive got really dry skin, if your makeup is sliding off then set your foundation all over. I love soap and glory one heck of a blot its around 14 euro, people swear by Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder, think thats around 40 euro, Mac Studio careblend is good too - about 20 euro.

It depends on your skin type, the one I recommend above is good for your problem and has a bit of illumination in it which is lovely under the eyes as it reflects light and distracts from any dark circles. It's about €12.99 from bourjois so it's a good price point to start off with and see if it works.
If you don't usually use powder there's no need to start putting it anywhere else but if you do want to then look for setting powders, every brand make them.
If you want a low cost one Rimmel do a good one for about 6 Euro, just bump it on with a brush wherever you feel you get oily or your foundation fades fast.

You can use different powder in different places, the bourjois one I mentioned earlier with the illuminating powder in it is lovely dusted on cheekbones for a little bit of healthy glow!
