    Hello,

I am just curious as to what charges and the exchange rates of using a BOI Visa Debit Card from a UK Branch (North of Ireland) in an ATM down south?

Or would it be cheaper to obtain euros from my local branch before heading down?

    Many thanks,
    Odhrán.

    Hi Odhrán,

    Thanks for your post.

If using your UK debit card for non-sterling transactions at point of sale the charge is 2.75% of the amount spent. For withdrawing cash from ATMs outside the UK the charge is £1.50 plus 2.75% of the amount withdrawn. For the daily exchange rate you can contact our UK Customer Service Team on 03457365555 or 0818365365 on the day you will be making the transaction.

    Thanks,
    Tara
