trabolgan memorial plaque

I cant find the answer to this anywhere. In trabolgan on the pathway toward the main centre, there's a seat with a plaque to someone who tragically lost their life there, I think date was 2000. Does anyone know what this is about?

A child , don't know if it's a girl or boy drowned in the pool ...Maybe that's it

That was only 2009, this plaque was for good bit before that I think
