What type of strap do I need?

I got a Longines diver recently, but the rubber strap it came on is too short and I don't like the steel bracelet.

I like the deployant from the rubber strap, so I'd like to put it on a new strap if possible.

I'm not too sure what exactly I should be searching for though? Nearly all the ones that I search for have holes for a tang buckle, but I assume I need something that takes a spring bar at either end.

This is the closest I have found.

IIRC the Longines diver strap comes in short medium and long versions, so if you like that strap maybe look for the long version?

thanks Wibbs - I'm not overly keen on rubber straps, especially paying through the nose for branded ones. I guess I'm asking if there's a specific search term I should be using for this type of strap/clasp combo.

Think this will be a custom made jobbie. A strap to fit that clasp will have to be made custom length because there is so little adustment. It's just a strap with a fold either end for a springbar.

Cheapest option is Andrea at Martu Leather.

Thanks! I was wondering if I was going mad, but it looks like this is not a common thing. I think there's a bit of scope for adjustment in the clasp, but I'll need to double check.

It looks like you have a bit of micro-adjustment in the clasp but only three holes. If you can dissassemble the strap from the clasp, measure it and then add the approximation of the bit you are short then you can order a bespoke strap. Another idea would be to order a no-name shark mesh and dremel off the links one row at a time until you get the right size - a shark mesh wouldn't be a bad look for a LLD in any eventuality but it looks like you would have to find a tapering one (22>20mm?).

    Edit.
Probably not very elegant but would any of the Cousins extenders work?

Thank you! I think I'll go down the custom route.

Sorry, I missed this! I think that's the style, but it's hard to tell as it already has a clasp on it.

I ended up getting a Hirsch strap for the time being, I think my laziness might take over and I'll leave it as is.
