How to find out where a dress is from when you have a picture only

    Hi all,
    I was browsing Instagram the other night and saw a gorgeous dress on someone but I don't know who they are. It just came up when I was searching. Is there any way you can find out where a dress is from if you only have an Instagram image? I don't want to follow and ask the person as I don't know them and it just came up when I clicked the search button on Instagram home page.

    sometimes when you click on the image the brand might be tagged - I don't see any harm in asking though.

    They usually tag them either in the text or on the image itself (you need to click on the pic to see it).

    you can also do an image search in google if there is no mention of the brand on the post itself.

    Upload the photo and it should be able to link you to something.

    Just ask in the comments, that's what's great about Instagram! if it's a massive account with loads of comments you might not get anywhere but no harm in trying. I know if anyone ever asks me a question on my Instagram I'm always delighted! :)

    I actually sent a message on Instagram to the person as it wasn't an account with many followers and there were no comments underneath. A friend told me how to message someone so I messaged the girl and she replied.
    The dress is on Asos so I ordered it over the weekend. Thanks to all those who replied 😀
