I'm starting to get slightly interested in the flat season.
The Craven Stakes is often the first view of the 2000 Guineas and Derby horses.
My bet is €10 on Benbatl at 6.4 to start my year.

Friendless in the betting. War Decree on the other hand is very strong.

War Decree didn't know what to do with his legs when asked. Very strange action.

Another disappointment by a 3yo War Front.
He produces many 2yo's who are well ahead but dont train on as a 3yo.

I am in complete denial about them not training on. He has plenty of stakes winner at 3 and 4 in the States. I think there were other issues at play with Air Force Blue rather than the horse not training on. War Decree was disappointing today but I'd give him another chance considering he hadn't raced since last July and he looked like he didn't handle the track. Whitecliffsofdover hacked up yesterday. War Secretary in the Greenham will be interesting.

Fair enough. I'd be more on the pessimistic side, probably after getting burned so often on his 3 year olds.
I would love to see War Decree, War Secretary and Lancaster Bomber prove me wrong over the course of the season. but my prediction is they, and their War Front siblings at Ballydoyle, will join Air Force Blue, War Command and Hit it a Bomb on the list of big disappointments at three years old.
'The Lads' certainly are persisting with him anyway, I dont know if Aidan believes in his ability as a stallion or he's just towing the line and getting the best of them. They really need a strong War Front stallion at Coolmore now to justify the big investment. War Commands two year olds start this year I believe - one to watch.
