Just bought a 131 Passat with cream interior from a dealer but it came with three cream mats and trying to source a fourth (the driver one). I've no official dealer around me for Volkswagen so wondering if I contacted one can they be ordered anywhere even if I didn't buy the car from them. No website I've tried has the proper beige/tan ones that I need in Ireland.

Any one know anything about sourcing them?

These look like what you want, you can select the colour you want when you add them to your basket, http://www.carmats4u.com/tailored-car-mats/volkswagen-car-mats/vw-passat-car-mats/vw-passat-2005-onwards-48/vw-passat-2010-2014-luxury-car-mats.html

I have a cream interior in my car and prefer the black rubber mats, they provide a nice contrast, easier to keep clean too.

You'll probably have a job to get them to order a single mat.

My advice would be to replace them with a set of contrasting dark coloured mats. Unless you like washing them every week cream mats are a nightmare to keep clean.

Yep, and dark mats will look grand even with the light coloured interior. Just get proper fitted ones.
Light coloured mats are a bags.

I wouldbe trawling eBay to be honest, used OEM mats always come up for sale.

You could also order them from any VW dealer, they should come in pairs (ie front mats separate from rear mats)

Mad money though. OEM mats always are.

Not necessarily true, I got a full set of rubber mats from the main dealer for 38 euro.

    +1 for micksgarage.

got a full set of cream mats over a year ago on special offer for E20. The fit is the exact same as the OEM ones I replaced and I find the cream actually stayed very clean despite never getting cleaned.

I'd recommend give the cream a go, worst case they get destroyed after a while and you splash another E20 for a dark set

Thanks a million everyone, the contrasting colour in the car is dark brown so that's why I was going for cream. Put a set of black ones in and it stood out a bit. My nearest dealer is about 40 mins away and have to drive car into him to see some style number or something. Anyway, set of Aldi rubber ones in it for the minute, I'll see cost wise but didn't realise how expensive mats can be!

They can be so expensive that you'd almost consider throwing another set of cheapo mats over them just to protect the original mats.. which are already protecting the original carpet :D

I've yet to see/buy an after market mat as good as on OEM matt though, even the ones that wear well and last long never fit the fixings right and move about.

Here's a good one for ya JCA. Yesterday evening a colleague asked me the same question: approx cost on a set of 141 passat mats (anthracite). Just plucked Frank Keane's number from google and gave parts dept a call. ?47 ex VAT for a OEM full set. I nearly fell off the seat. Asked her to double check and she confirmed. So less than ?60 all in for a full OEM set. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.

Pinkycharm, FWIW, same price for beige ;)

Yep, cheapo ivory mats wouldn't last at all.

Be careful when buying dark mats for light interiors, my last car the previous owner got cheap mats and when I got the car the cream carpet was nearly black and needed to be power washing to get close to cream again.

I paid over 40 at a main dealer for an avensis drivers side mat.

You bought me me mat? Didn't know they sold them like that.

Bought car second hand and didn't have original mat so as I was in dealer getting replacement fogs and chrome strip from boot I bought mat too.

After doing a bit of research on older threads here, I eventually went with carmats2u for an MK5 Golf which I recently purchased without realising there were no mats.

Reviews were hit and miss, with the suggestion also that they use the aforementioned carmats4u

Anyway, I used parcel motel and got them delivered within 2 weeks over the Easter break which was alright.
Hoovered the car and fit them yesterday and happy with the purchase.

Resisted the boyhood urge to get the additional custom logo on. Getting old :pac:

Felt appropriate to recommend these guys somewhere having taken plenty of advice in the background from older threads!
