Best system to go with for Air to water - Split system or Mono block.

Also any feedback on what brand to go with? I have been recommended Mitsubishi and Daikin.

What's it heating? Underfloor only, hot tank also, Alu Rads?
The required output temp might influence things.
Was told Mono block easier to maintain, sealed unit like a fridge so a visual inspection can be enough. Split requires refrigeration Engineer to maintain due to pipes etc carrying coolant etc. That will cost you more....
As for brand, I'd look at companies with local knowledgeable installers who can answer any queries you have post install and won't go out of business soon! Any of the big names should be ok, just see how many they've installed in Ireland, some are more popular in UK, don't want to get stung waiting for parts / be the only guy with that particular brand over here!!
Check the specifications & COP vs temperature etc
I'm sure you'll get lots of replies here soon from ASHP owners....
