Arnotts have a great sale on at the moment and we picked up this machine for €64.95 and they still had stock left. Also comes with a capsule holder and a good selection of capsules in the box worth €40.

That 'pod holder' costs more than e40?!?

Interesting, I have a €100 Arnotts voucher I need to use up and am looking for a new pod machine.

Are pods easily purchased in shops like SuperValu or restricted like with Nespresso ?

They're also on sale in Tesco, no hassle getting the pods.

I've used both this and a nespresso machine and I much prefer the coffee from this one. That's a very good price.

Just FYI, this is €60 in DID Electrical if that's more convenient for you

Got one in Arnotts there, thanks OP!

(they also forgot to charge me for an extra box of capsules and then said it was OK to toss em in the bag.. nice!)

Damn, that was some good coffee! Very solidly designed piece of kit, although only downside I would say is the height of the spout results in a bit of splashing as it pours into the cup.

I found it best to hold the cup up close to the spout to prevent this, but even the drops falling into the tray after splash out a little.

Anyone come up with a nifty splashguard that might work with it? :)

Does this only do milk from a capsule?

Yes if you like the latte or cappuccino capsules they provide, however, the regular espresso and grande espresso/americano capsules are designed so you add your own milk.

Don't think that's the same one.

silly me, I discovered you can actually place the drip tray up closer to the spout by using those little (what I thought were) "vent" inserts on the face of the machine.

    Well they've thought of everything.
