hello! Me and the gf are looking for a sun holiday in the summer, she doesn't drive and im fed up with driving so looking for somewhere easy to get around. We were thinking croatia but it seems you really need a car. We've already been to majorca. WOndering if anyone has any good ideas, thanks.

Salou...went there for the 3rd time last year(1st as an adult brought my kids)...Barcelona by train(super city plenty to see and do)....Port Adventura by public transport(unreal theme park well suited to adults)..Aquapark by public transport both close by maybe 30 mins or less not 100% sure.
Lovely beaches tons of activities, good pubs and clubs(i did escape for one night:D had a babysitter with me:pac:)....and its not that expensive either.
Downsides its probably much like Majorca(i was in Santa Ponsa years ago)but with Barcelona and Port Adventura easily accessible without a car it ranks well above Majorca for me.
    Have fun whatever you do:)

Rome is good although girlfriend might get the wrong idea. Has the underground metro and is unbelivably sunny, lots of culture, but not sure what you want other than sun.

Malta. Small island; good public transport; can walk if you really want. Don't need a car at all.

If your budget is a bit higher than the usual European destinations I'd recommend Dubai. I'm here as we speak and a taxi will bring you anywhere for €1.25 to begin and 50c per km after that. Minimum is €3 per journey, most we have spent is around €15 so far but average about €5 per trip. We rented a car for the day yesterday, a Lexus, and it cost €177 for the day. This was to bring us to Abu Dhabi to see a few sights. However we got a chauffeur included for the price who brought us where we wanted to go and waited for us outside the spots we visisted. Split between 4 people made it fairly reasonable.

Not as many as you'd think, for sure, but you'll manage

Sun holiday doesn't have to be all about beaches either.
