Any ideas how to get one taken away? Some previous neighbors lost their car keys of a 99 golf and just moved on without it about a year ago and it's just sitting on the road gathering moss

If the plates were to disappear off it in the wind some night and someone was to report it as such it would be moved along.

I've heard this before but who does it need to be reported to? And who removes it?

Although a bit old (2012)... this was another posters 'options' available http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056648096
Basically it's pass the parcel betweem County Council/Gardai/Litter Warden.

This was probably the best suggestion

1 Find out who your nearest local councillor is.

2 Tow the car to outside their house.

3 Watch it get collected pretty soon after.

Edit: Just checked there and DCC are pretty clear that they want your business

Is it parked on a public road?
Is it parked in an estate taken in charge by a LA?
If the answer to above questions are YES, then its a matter for the council.

And you'd probably want to be asking over in the weather forum when the next gale force winds are expected alsotongue.png

I know when it happened in our estate, no one was interested until the plates fell off. Cork CoCo removed it pretty quickly once it was reported after that.

Whip the plates off and contact your litter warden/county council. If they give you the run around then get onto your local councillers, a quick email from them will have it gone in no time.
Done it myself recently with 2 cars on my road.
