    Hi all,
In the middle of organising a mooring for my boat. The club have helped me spec it bup I'm struggling to get the ground chain. Looking for 16 odd foot of 25-30mm chain... I've been in contact with anyone I could find online and so far it's been either silly money or not available. Anyone any ideas of where I could get some... Located Limerick/Tipp but will travel.
    Cheers
    James

Not your end of the country but if you can get someone to pick it up it might be worth it, http://www.marinesuppliers.ie/galvanised-mooring-chain.html

Thanks a million. I can get stuff picked in Dublin handy enough but the chain is still too light. Mooring is in the Shannon Estuary and local advice is to have the heavy 25-30mm ground chain.

Try looking for stud link chain it will be heavier but still not cheep you might be able to find some around the harbours where it was used for trawlers anchors, last time I got some it was from cement roadstone where it was used to clean out the big drying drums :) If all else fails ch Marine do up to 19mm maybe you could double up and shackle them together.

Thanks ... That's the killer... I know it's thrown around in yards around the country after being used for things like that... but there's only so many I can see over the wall into ;)

    Thansk for the 2 cents:)
