    Hi,
The radiator burst on my 97 starlet.
I had to drive for a few mins to find a safe spot to pull in.
There was a smell of oil so it obviously got very hot.
Is there some way I can check for engine damage before buying a new radiator?
If the head gasket is damaged or something like that it may not make sense financially to repair.

Compression test / sniff test prob the best way to go. Head may have been warped. This in turn could lead to head gasket failure.
