Covexin 10 or Tribovax 10 ?

Which product do people prefer to use to cover lambs for clostridial diseases?

Both are more are less the same price wise.
Last year I used Tribovax,like last year ewes were done with Heptavac P Plus pre lambing this year.
I usually do lambs when they are about three weeks of age on average so will do them soon.

Ovivac p is what i use for the lambs. Ewes and replacements are done with heptvac p. System is workin for me.

I use Tribovax 10, due to a mixed farm & it suits both cattle & sheep

Is covexin or tribovax better for lambs that heptavac p? Whats the difference?

Wouldn't do them that early the heptavac will cover them up till 10 weeks at least... pointless doing them at 3 weeks.

Unless of course the ewes hadn't gotten the booster before lambing. Then there'd be no protection.

Yea that's what I ment but if ewes are done the lamb needs till build up it's own antibodies before booster injection 3 weeks far 2 early recommend 8-10 weeks do at 10 here so the youngest is around 8 weeks and oldest 10 or so and have no bother.

I'd vaccinate the lambs if a couple died suddenly, I wouldn't do it every year.
I'd just buy whichever the shop stocked, both seem to work.....usually the lambs'd be 3 or 4 mths old if they were being done

Its the same product manufactured in the same factory only different packaging. That's what my local vet shop advised

I wouldn't agree with that if you read the heptavac data sheet passive immunity is dropping after 3 weeks and there recommendation is to give the lamb there first shot at week 4 followed by booster 4-6 weeks later.

This mean the lamb is fulling vaccinated pre weaning on week 16-17 roughly.

I learned the hard way 2 lambs dead this week 6-7 weeks old all ewes vaccinated pre lambing correctly. Came back from lab with pulpy kidney.

Just after vaccinating all the lambs today.

Different horses for different courses if it works for me doesn't mean will work for you... didn't lose 1 lamb from lambing till selling last year at the back end... 160 lamb... but started loading few ewe lambs then that I kept on 4 hoggets so maybe were both right.

You may get away with it for a few years but it's the year you don't that you'll feel the losses
