First I've heard of it. A quick google gives the first 6 hits as being from independent.ie. Are they supporting/promoting it. I looked at the line up, only recognize 2 names.

I'll say it now, I'd bet good money this is being organized not by a security company but by a marketing company.

They may have just called the Conference "GDPR sales pitch for my company".

It's a conference for "data managers". The agenda has breaks and "networking" mentioned 4 times, it's a fluff and sales conference.
