    Hi,
I'm going to give a neighbour an 8.5 acre field for him to take two cuts of silage off. I'll take the field back after the second cut. The grass quality is average. Whats the going rate per acre? Thanks.

Depends who fertilised it but generally 80/acre I think with the buyer to put whatever he wants on it

I did this last year with a Neighbor.

We took the Cost of a bale of Silage (€20) minus the Cost of Making a bale (paying a contractor €12 per bale) and were left with € 8 per bale. i.e. The Grass in the bale was worth €8

He made the bales himself and he then paid me €8 per bale that he got off it.

I paid for and spread the fertilizer on it and spread slurry after the 1st cut too.
