DoneDeal is asking €11 for a bulk standard car advert, plus some surcharge for phone payment.

    Are they getting too comfortable?!

I remember when auto trader used to be €30 for 2 weeks (and that was close to 20 yrs ago)

I think the only positive is that the site will not be clogged with dreamers overpricing their cars.

Donedeal is full of dreamers selling Landcruisers.

They were too comfortable, asked too much and have lost market share to DoneDeal...

All the competition is cheaper - Autotrader/Carzone/Driving.ie and Carsireland all are €5.

    Classic scenario...

    Start a business
    It becomes successful
    Sell it (or part)
New owner has to get investment back so prices shoot up.

The economic recovery has had a negative impact on what was their main revenue source - ads for used cars. Many more car buyers can now afford to purchase brand new cars from motor dealerships. The increased fees are a reflection of this.

Last time I sold a car on it I think it was €5 and that had gone up from an initial €2/€3. They have 43k private ads on it at the moment, and over 54k trade ads, they are making a killing and little or no major investment in a long time.

Watch out for a Parcel Motel price increase.
