    New to this fitness lark

When we were doing squats i just couldn't get them right and straighten my back - he says i walk with my chest out but leaning forward pushing my ass out.

Obviously as a PT he knows what he's talking about

How do I improve on this?

Just be more conscious when im walking to do it upright and straight and not be crouched over?

    Thanks

To be fair, this is what you're paying the PT to tell you. They should know from observing your movement what the course of action to address it should be.

If they don't, look for a new PT.
