    Hey!

Anyone know of any buses that go through city centre and stop near one of the starting routes?

I was checking this one out this evening and it's not good. The best option is the Bus Eireann 132, getting off at Annalecky Cross. A Pub called the Old Toll House is your landmark. Once here you've about a 10KM trek to the better known walking route starting point at Fenton's Glen of Immal Bar.

After that you are looking at St. Kevin's bus to Glendalough. Once here it's a hike to Glenmalure, either on public road or over the hill via the Wicklow Way, and then up the east face. Given that it's a good 9 miles this way you may not fancy both in the one day.

Lastly, you could ask these guys nicely but don't be shocked if they can't or if it's costly.

Whatever one of these you go for means an overnight trip unless you have a car handy.

Maybe a bus to Laragh via St. Kevin's, and then get a taxi to Glenmalure?

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Or make it into an Art O'Neil / Lug walk combo. Just walk from the city centre via all the ridges to the summit of Lug and down to Fentons. Steak + pints there and a bit of kip and walk back the next day :pac:
