Are My Boots Defective?

I just thought I'd get some advice in here before trying to do a return.

I ordered a pair of leather ankle boots from Oxendales on the 5th of March, and received them on the 9th. I've worn them 2 or 3 days per week since then, so probably worn no more than 12 times. Not excessive use, usually walking from my car to my son's school (less than 500m each way) and then a few laps of Lidl/Tesco. Haven't worn them on long walks or anything like that.

This evening, when I took them off, the insole of one of them came out while I was taking the boot off. The insoles are these memory foam yokes, and are the ones that came with the boot (ie not ones I fitted myself) There was obviously glue applied to some of it, but not all of it, so the result is now there are chunks of memory foam stuck in the boot, so I wouldn't even be able to buy a pair of insoles and stick them in.

Would I be entitled to return these? They were just under €60 so it's not like they were a cheapo pair of crappy boots.

Email Oxendale and talk to them. I find that memory foam style insoles never last that well for me so I tend to avoid them. However Oxendale may be willing to offer you a replacement/repair/refund as the insoles did not appear to be entirely glued down.
