    Hi all
Can anyone help me. My working week is being reduced from 4 days to 3 days. Am I entitled to claim UB for that day and what questions are asked on the application form. Also what other forms need to be completed, apart from the UP1 form? Thanks in advance.

You should ask this in state benefits. This is nothing to do with tax

    Hi there

Can someone give me some advise please.

My boyfriend has been unemployment since the end of March. He has now got a job and is back in employment.

He never signed on for social welfare when he was out of work - is he entitled to claim his stamps for the period that he was unemployed to get it backdated?

Backdating of claims will sometimes be allowed but there needs to be a good reason as to why the person didn’t claim at the time they became unemployed. Even then there are time limits on backdating. There is more information here :

I was always told it was set in concrete and you can only claim from when you decide to inform them.
But reading through that link above there seems to be a type of force majeure in place .
