I know this might be in the wrong forum, because I'm not exactly intending to do anything myself, but I'm just wondering if anyone has had their roof painted, if they were happy with the result, and roughly how much it costs! I know I could obviously get someone out to quote me, but I'd love to have a ballpark of cost, so I'd know if there was any point in getting a quote!

What kind of roof are you talking about

Sorry, should have been more specific. The roof of my house, which is an old two storey house. I'm not sure how old the roof is, but there's nothing wrong with it, except it looks like it needs a freshen up!

I think he was asking what the roof is made from. Slate etc

What makes you think you should be painting it? Most roofs are not painted.

    It's slate.
It's just for aesthetic purposes really. I've seen a few sites online advertising roof painting, but I was wondering if anyone who wasn't selling a product could tell me anything about it
