Google Contacts on Galaxy S7 not syncing

    I have noted that where I updated or added new numbers on Google contacts that they are not syncing to my S7.

    The sync is switched on and it is allowing background data. I have looked online and there is really nothing there. It might have something to do with Nougat but I am at a loss.

    Anyone else out there have the same problem.

    Try disable syncing and then enable it again?

    Thanks tried that but it didn't work. Left it for a while but it still didn't sync.

    Do you have more than one Google account on your device? Are you sure new contacts are being allocated to the correct account?

    When you view in account settings, does it show that contacts is synced, or it has a sync error symbol?

    Got a some of quasi solution - I removed the Google Account and then reinstalled.

    It updated all of the contacts and listed them separately. Will keep an eye on it next time I want to update through my Google account online and see if it downloads to the phone.
