No. You'll also have to complete the 12 EDT driving lessons as well before you will get a test date.

Actually he/she could apply if they hold learners permit 6 months or more

Something a friend got caught in a while back and just to be mindful of, you can apply after the 6 months are up, but you must also have the 12 lessons done to be scheduled for a test.

It's not just a case of having them done by test day, the 12 lessons have to be signed off online before the Driver Testing Section will even talk to you about dates, assuming you intend to call them for cancellations given your circumstances.

Hi guys. I just wanna ask you. I live here in Ireland 2 years, and i'm from Croatia, but i don't have driving licence, so my plan here is to finally get that ! :D..The thing is, i watch so many videos, on yt, i have also book from RSA, and i contact them and someone else for driving, but i don't know what is the best 1 thing to do. I starting already my theory test online and ofc soon i hope ll be ready but the thing is. What is 1st thing better to do !?
When i ready, than applay for test and bring documents
When i applay for driving licence, they will call me soon for test or what?

Maybe i sound stupid, but sorry i really not sure what best to do, coz i don't have nothing from that for now..Thanks !

You need theory, then apply for learner permit at ndls centre.

You must complete 12 EDT lessons before you can apply for full drivers licence test.

The full set of 12 lessons is usually around €300, give or take, but every instructor has different prices. You may also need additional lessons to get up to test standard if you've never driven before, though. The lessons are not hard per se, but how fast you progress will depend on your abilities as a driver (and, to a lesser extent, how good your instructor is).

You will also need a fully licensed friend or relative (who has held their full Irish license for at least two years) to accompany you when practicing driving on your learner's permit, and you need to be insured to drive the car you are using to practice. Note that insurance for learner drivers is very expensive, often a few thousand euro or more per year if you own and insure your own car. (Also remember that should you make the poor choice to drive unaccompanied on a learner's permit, it will usually void your insurance policy, so you would be personally responsible for the cost of all damages and injuries if you were in an at-fault accident...).
