    Hi all,
Should be moving in the next few months and will need to change broadband. Currently on 2mb line (lololol) but it's perfectly fine for streaming hd and has really low ping.

As I haven't had to shop for broadband in over a decade, what providers are best for ping along with good speed.

    Living in Limerick city.

Virgin is probably the best option if it's available.

Sky are good, and have good prices with TV.

Sky's customer service and install procedures are appalling though. I spent 6 hours over a month talking to them trying to get mine set up. Line was clear and working and they still made a mess of it. Then they got the billing way off and it's still not fixed 2 months on. Friend had similar issues.

Never had an issue with them, and my parents either. Issue can arise unfortunately but for me, give me Sky customer service over eir or virgin any day.

I moved to Pure when my local cabinet was FTTC enabled. Got a great deal through switcher, although note they don't bundle landline to mobile. I'm in the middle of a tech problem at the minute and am finding them responsive and helpful.

We went with Virgin because SKY after a month hadn't installed. Two different engineers came out without equipment, mind boggling. Granted this was the time of one of the big offers but they should have foreseen the demand.
