Changing colour of reclaimed ridge tiles

    Hi,

Apologies for the long winded post but any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm about to start an extension and I'm using reclaimed black/grey Marley Wessex tiles. I hand picked all the tiles but unfortunately there was only a limited number of the matching ridge tiles available. I've spent the last 3 months searching for 9 ridge tiles to do the last hip. I've regularly checked all the usual spots in Dublin for salvage/reclaimed tiles and I'm on Adverts and Donedeal every day but no joy.

I've picked up 9 of the same ridge tile in a brown but they are significantly different to the weatherd black/grey I'm trying to match in with. It's a single storie extension and the 2 ridges are close together so I don't want them to stand out like a sore thumb.

Is there any trade secret to make the the brown an awful lot less brown? I see there's a product called "Liquid Weather" on the market. Would I be better off buying new uneversial ridge tiles for both ridges and trying to weather them with that.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Colm
