    Hi
Fir TV there's always good/1/2 price deals for 1 year but with broadband there doesn't seem to be. I can't get better than €35 pm (Lackagh, East Galway.

    Any reason why not?
    Cheers,
    Pa

It costs €29 to get any form of line into a premises. Thats before all other costs. Even at €35 you're likely to lose money.

No competition. Also it's not expensive to begin with.

eir's wholesale price is the main reason, the crazy line rental charge is the main driver of cost for Sky and Vodafone.

Are they crazy? Doubt we're much above the OECD average. OpenReach are similar and they've got 5x the density.
