Filling just came out

Was eating some crisps a few minutes ago when part of the filling of a tooth I had done just before Christmas came out, noticed something extra crunchy and got up to look in the mirror and saw that it was gone. I have 2 questions here, what can I do to look after the tooth before I can ring my dentist on Monday morning? It was quite a deep filling. And am I going to have to pay for this, the filling was only done three months ago, would have hoped for a bit more mileage than that!

If you can get to a pharmacy tomorrow most do temporary filling kits that should hopefully tide you over til you can get to a dentist. Haven't a clue if you'll have to pay the dentist again but most fillings should last years. Hope you're not in too much pain!

Edited to add they have them in Boots for a tenner!

Not in any pain at the minute but going to get the temporary filling tomorrow anyway just in case, only part of it came out so I think what is left might be keeping the nerve covered, at least that's what I'm hoping anyway.
