I sent a large envelope to someone in Belarus on Monday by registered post. The current status of it is that "ITEM HAS BEEN DISPATCHED FROM DUBLIN MAIL CENTRE"

That has been the current status of it since Tuesday morning st 5.17am. It said item accepted at 3.17am at Dublin mail centre and item dispatched at 5.17am

I know item can only be tracked within Ireland but does that mean item has left the country or is it still in country due to custom checks on it. Anybody have any previous experience with a similar issue?

There isn't any outgoing customs check! It will have been despatched. Call customer service mon and they can check the overlabel manifest

Thanks a million Spocker. I entered in tracking number. You know what insert item into bag (otb ) means

An Post registered is like Royal Mails guaranteed signed for service. They offer practically no tracking information, just delivery attempts and delivered notifications usually. In most cases the receiving country will update when they have received the item and then when delivered but not always.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's usually extremely reliable.

Sorry, no. Remember too that the Registered Post service is only a guarantee of delivery, not of speed
