Divorced - Life assurance / mortage

Recently my divorce went through in the UK (my ex lives in UK now), we agreed to keep the house (in ireland) and split payments etc on the mortgage since there was no point in selling and carrying the debt.

Just wondering does the bank need to be informed of anything?

Also we have a mortgage protection and severe illness insurance that we have had in place since the mortgage was drawn down. This covers the mortgage debt if either of us die or become severely ill. We agreed to keep this in place also. Does the insurance company need to be informed?
