Loud water gurgling sound in hot water cylinder

I've had issues with bad water hammer in our hot water cylinder before, but a plumber recently got it sorted and all was fine for a month or so. Now, all of a sudden, we have a new problem - a very loud bubbling / gurgling "refilling" sound which goes on for AGES after any large use of water such as a shower. My bedroom is right through the wall from the cylinder so it's driving me mad! I had to hound the landlord in order to get the water hammer thing sorted (which involved me having to take time off work for plumber visits) so if I can fix this myself I'd be so relieved. Hoping I just need to turn some valve or other and a savvy boardsie can direct me? :-)

Doubt if its something simple that you could fix yourself - you need to get that plumber back pronto - and in the meantime should sleep in another room with a hard hat and earmuffs

Rental situ so nowhere else to sleep unfortunately! One of the last times the plumber visited (separate issue) he just quickly tweaked one tap and that was that......just thought someone with plumbing skills might be able to suggest which valves I could try tweaking to make the water enter the cylinder quietly like it used to :-(

Sounds like circulation pump is on the blink...

A new pump was installed a few months as the old one was leaking. Just been chatting about this with my flatmates and we've noticed a big drop in cold water pressure and also that the hot water seems to last much longer than we'd expect since it only comes on for an hour morning and evening. So frustrating to have this all going on after new parts being installed and plumbers being back and forth.
