For anyone who is interested - because I don't see it mentioned - the 2017 EU general administrator competition will be opening next week. There's a bunch of info and pre-reading here.

I am mentioning it because I see a bunch of public service threads here and people who are interested in public service/admin and who are qualified who might not have otherwise considered them might be interested.

If you are in Dublin, it is worth checking whether some arm of the government (Department of the Taoiseach the last time iirc) or the European Commission or Parliament public information arms will be running an information evening (EC ran one for translation and interpreting a few years ago iirc).
