    Bought this last week.

Paint is in pretty good nick, but seems to be quite a bit of orange peel in parts.

I have the usual bilt & hamber claybar, ironx, fusso, shampoo but I am wondering if there anything recommended for silver paint?

I always said I would never have a silver car but couldnt refuse this one.

I am working on finding some sort of system to allow me to use my DA at the moment, living in an apartment and no chance of an extension lead, whether I have to find some sort of inverter setup or try to find a socket in the local wash place it will take a few weeks.

    Generator an option maybe?

With any colour, preparation is key, but more so with lighter colours!
Darker colours benefit from a good polish, but ligther colours can get by without a polish if the prep has been good!

De-Tar, De-Iron and Claybar will do wonders - if you can get a DA at it, even better! Anything applied after this will look good!

    Thanks guys.

I had a look at the generators FN, they're about 200 quid so Ill avoid it if I can at all!

No chance you could ask a ground-floor dweller if you could plug in an extension cable and give them a few quid for it?

I could, but then the DA makes quite a bit of noise, and that would be a big no no.
Next time I go to wash the car over the border in France at the usual place, I will have a snoop around for a power outlet
