Looking forward to the Cork v Dundalk game.

should be a good 'un. A sell out too, good to see.

Sell out crowd. Sun is shining. Tv cameras in town. It all leads to a dour 0-1 for Dundalk.

Not confident at all about the though of Dundalk running at our "defense". If Shamrock Rovers had any sort of quality they would have hit us for 2 or 3 more last Friday and won the game. Dundalk have that quality.

Great occasion for the LOI though, sold out Turners Cross in the sun and on TV.

    Decent away crowd from Dundalk,

Hopefully lives up to a cracker!

McGuire and Sheppard are quite the pair.

That was certainly helped by terrible defending.

How's it going, I know its 2-0 but can't see it, RTE Player not available for this in NI.

Kilduff will be lucky to see out this game without getting a second yellow card.

    LoI refereeing, cant beat it.

Dundalk had more of the possession & played ok but Cork have exposed Dundalk's weak defense. Rogers & Massey very poor for 2nd goal & Rogers looks very poor with the ball at feet. Not convinced by Barrett either.

McCormack has been excellent for Cork as has the back 4. Maguire has done well great assist for Shepperd.

Was excellent for us too all last season.

Delighted! We needed that result. Shams dominated the first 20 minutes and went a goal up. We had started to come back into the match although it was still fairly even. Then in the 35 minute Heaney got sent off for a second yellow and we took over the match from there. Took a while to score but Kurtis Byrne and Josh O'Hanlon who both came on as subs got the vital goals. Hopefully our season will kick on from here.

Poor enough game in the Southeast derby, in front of a huge crowd at the RSC last night. Both clubs have different aspirations this season and each will need to improve if they are to be attained

This is getting dreadful very quickly. Decent start but all gone downhill lately

Have to hope Bray go to the wall this year if we are to have any chance of avoiding the drop. Robertson has to go if we lose to Galway next week.

Can't remember the last time I felt so low about Sligo Rovers.

A bit harsh hoping a club goes extinct just because you're playing ****e.

If they go extinct it's their own fault. They are paying big wages to the likes of McCabe, Connolly, Flood and average around 800 fans (650 last night). They did the same last year hoping for Europe and took a loss.

The owners seem a bit dodgy too. Depending on one person to keep the show on the road does not end well in this league.

Saw Bray v Limerick last night.

Bray could be in trouble in the future. After 2 home wins scoring 7 in 2 games only 630 showed up & 200-300 were Limerick fans.

They have very little balance to their team. Basically playing 3 up front & I think they will struggle in the next few weeks with a tough fixture list.
Limerick were very good last night much better defensively than in previous weeks.

Good win for Shels last night... to be honest don't think we were ever not going to win it!

Fair play for the lack of gloating from the Cork fans (maybe they're still recovering from hangovers). :)

Deserved win for them on Saturday. Two terrible goals from a defensive perspective but no complaints about the result. I think if we can stay within six of Cork by the summer we still have a decent chance but if they pull ahead any more we're playing for second

I think with our second half showing a draw wouldnt have been undeserved, but saying that, Dundalk didnt really produce much even with all their possesion. Kilduff is a very unlikable character, nasty little bollox if you watch his off the ball antics. But in the end it was a great win for us. No leagues are won in March and we have a tough run of games coming up with Limerick, Pats, Bohs away, and Derry at home in the next few weeks.

Great occasion yesterday though, Turners Cross has never looked better, weather was fantastic, sold out home crowd and a great away following made for a great athmosphere, if we didnt pick up a few floating fans after that then the LOI has no hope in this country.

First bad result of the season again caused again by a defensive error, this time a red card. If the defence could stop the self sabotage - giving away penalties at critical times (Bohs and Cork), leaving open goals (Cork) or getting sent off (Pats) - they can get somewhere.

Big game next week, a must win.

Robertson needs to go and fast if we are to have any hope of staying in the premier.

Could not go the Cross on Saturday but delighted with result.

Its only 3 points though and no league was handed out. Still long season ahead but cant ask for better start.

If Rovers don't beat Finn Harps on Friday there is going to be early pressure on Bradley. As dfx said the loss to Pats was probably the only 'bad' result so far this season as their other defeats were to teams who finished ahead of them in the league last season, but they haven't exactly pulled off any shocks so far this season. Hoping to make it up to the game for my first match of the season.
