From Motors as it's not really a car issue but to do with the conviction and work/studies.

its a traffic matter. Not the crime of the century. (despite what some here would lead you to believe)

    You'll be fine.

But there might be a better forum to ask, rather than motors

As someone in social care if it's a conviction you ll have to disclose it for Garda vetting. It won't immediately bar you from getting work but it might cause issues.

With regard to college you have to be Garda vetted prior to any placement so best tell the college before hand.

    Best of luck

The conviction may have implications for the employer's car insurance if the position is a mobile one.

Otherwise, many social care positions welcome people who have had adverse personal experiences. This would of course, depend on current substance use behaviour.
