1.6HDI can I remove inlet manifold without removing the injectors?

    Hi all,

    I have a 2010 Peugeot with the 1.6HDI engine.

There is an oil leak coming from one of the inlet manifold O rings, the last garage to remove it obviously didn't site the O ring correctly as it looks pinched.

Is it possible to remove the plastic inlet manifold without removing the injectors, and just removing the high pressure fuel lines?

    Thanks,

    Ken

Yes it can be removed without removing the injectors....theres a row of 8mm bolts around the manifold and rocker cover.
It will take a nice bit of force to get it up so be careful not to crack it.
Getting the HP pipes off the rail can also be tricky....its best cover the rail with a clean cloth to stop any dirt getting in while working above it.

    Thanks Row,

All the photos online show the manifold removed along with the injectors, but I suspect that they might have been doping cam chains or heads.
