Hi. Have a ewe that had twins yday. Took to them done but one got out of the pen during the night (poor setup) and now she is beating the lamb. No adoption pen here. Is there any tricks you folks have to aid her taking it back? (Eg. Deodorant on her nose/both lambs?)
    Thanks

Dip the 2 in like warm water with salt in then spray with aftershave especially around the tail so they bothbsmell the same some people run in Vicks etc... worked for me on a wee that lost her lambs but I also put my hand in her x2 till make her think she was lambing again shouldn't be necessary for u.

Personally I'd send her to factory first chance. Whenever it happens here, usually due to ewe beating sugar out of lamb and lamb escaping the pen. Interesting if she stays around will you find an issue with her again next year ?

I put a foals headcollar on them and tie to the front of the lambing pen with just enough slack on rope to eat , drink and lie down if they do still try and kick the lamb its normally short lived and after a couple of days out to the field and hope for the best.

    any dog around the place?
use it to scare her from outside the pen.

or get some rope and make a harness for her head and tie her to the pen

She was on a harness all day. Tried the aftershave and it seems to have done the attraction! Here's hoping all continues well. Thanks folks
