    Hi pod666,

Thank you for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

Sorry to hear you have not received any correspondence in relation to your query.

The correct address to send your letter to for Data Protection requests is below:

    Bank of Ireland
    Data Protection Requests
    3rd Floor 32 South Mall,
    Cork

You will need to include a cheque made payable to Bank of Ireland for the value of €6.35 which is the fee for requesting this. Please also
include a letter to confirm the information you require.

    Thanks,

    Tara C

HI THANKS SO MUCH FOR THAT I DID IN FACT SEND IN A COMPLETED valid  FOI REQUEST FORM AND THE REQUIRED FEE.

It is most interesting to see that bank of Ireland charges their own  customers a fee to obtain a copy of a customers own records, not all organisations charge a fee for foi requests  .
It is also strange that boi makes  access to their foi officer contact info  most difficult to find.

Thank you Tara c and boards.ie

My initial foi request fell on their ears -unreplied to..... [snip]

The reason i want this info is to expose [snip] the so called irish life "Investment scheme"Glasgow investment scheme fund.
I wasnt given any financial advice at the time and [snip]!
     [snip]
it turned out that boi private flipped the property for the short term  big profit gain of rich cats.

If investors had known they wouldn't have been fooled by this over valued property!

Some elderly people lost their life savings.Shame on boi!

Some boi staff borrowed for this great  investment opportunity!

A note to others affected by this scheme some investors have already been compensated by boi.  Do NOT Give up!

Guess what happens to the investment advisers who sold the scheme..... they got promoted -  so as to avoid meeting irate investors!
I guess cream or something else always rises the top!

i am  coming after you ...... [snip]

If your letter to BOI reads like your posts on here they probably didn't understand the request.

    Hi pod66,

If you used a different postal address for your initial request, we would advise you to send your request to the Cork address mentioned in Tara's post above and to cancel your previous cheque posted to our head office.

    Thanks,
    Sarah
