Anyone have any opinion on these? Or suggestions for alternatives?

Doing around 1000km per week and want to put on a good set of tyres. The cross climate seem very well reviewed.

I've them on the front of my 159 and can't see any noticeable difference between them and the Goodyear eagle f1s I normally have, albeit on a much older gtv.

When we had frosty weather a few months ago, I didn't think wow these tyres are savage. They didn't seem any better or worse than the f1s.

They're bloody expensive in my tyre size so when they're worn they won't be going on.
I've new kumho Ku39s on the rear of the 159 and they seem to be excellent so far.

Still haven't had a tyre as nice as Goodyear eagles though

I find them brilliant all rounders for Irish style weather on my car and would buy them again. Decent enough sidewall stiffness and good wet grip and stopping distance. I think it does depend on size, aspect ratios etc, even suspension setup(and driving style) between different cars, so what might work for you might not work for me.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

We have them on our avensis. €120 a corner for 205/55/16. Very happy with them for grip. Wet performance is decent. They are a little noisy on the road compared to the continental std summer tyres we had before this. Can't compare to other all weather ones as this is first time we had them.

Looking at 160 a corner for the size I need. 205/50/17!

That's not a bad price for those fitted. I bought GoodYear EfficientGrip Performance in that same size last week for €112 fitted (€101 to buy and €10 to fit).

Not sure the CrossClimates are worth an extra €48 a corner tbh. :)

I've had Cross Climates for almost a year. Can't knock them.
They saved my bacon once, when I went into a corner on the Cork/Killarney road about 30km/h too fast in the wet and they gripped really well; I was ready for a crash that didn't happen.
Yes I would recommend them for the Irish climate.
    I bought them from Openeo.
But Red Cow Tyres (if you're in Dublin) will match the price and they have laser alignment toys.

Ordered two in my local garage for 150 a corner (just changing front as there is plenty on rears still).

Happy enough with price as cheapest I could buy online seemed to be 145 for the size I wanted. Then I would have the hassle of getting them fitted etc.

Lol. Plan would be to change the rear in another couple of months! Two many bills!

You could always swap them around.

just having a read and see that the newest tyres should be on the rear! Interesting myth debunked! Thanks.
