Loan denial & reapplying.

    Hi,
I was denied a loan, well from what I believe. I applied the 11th of the month, got a phone call to ask some questions and then heard nothing back. I rang the 16th just to be told I've been unsuccessful and the phone was then hung up by the rep. I had no explanation what so ever. I decided to reapply for a smaller amount (thinking that may have been the problem) but I've been told I can only reapply after 3 months but they'd forward the application onto the loans department either way. Will this have a negative affect due to my applying twice? Is there anyway I can find out why I was denied and appeal the decision? I've had 3 previous loans and paid them all on time or even had them paid early.
    Thanks

    Hi Lorna93,

Thank you for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

To discuss your recent loan application you would be best to speak with a customer advisor at your branch.

See here for branch contact details.

If you’d like to book an appointment at your branch to meet with an advisor please see here.

    Thanks,

    Tara C

Thanks for replying so quickly Tara. I actually work Mon-Fri until after 5 and would never have time to make it into my local branch which is 30 minutes away. Is there a way for me to call them or does it have to be in person?
