Did this happen after you replaced the battery and alternator or before this? If after I assume you have the correct connections fitted to the battery.
    Does the car start now?
Do you know if the car has an after market alarm fitted to it?
Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting?

It's a symptom of a faulty diode pack on the alternator. The alarm would be the one that does off when keys are left in.

Check the wiring going to the alternator.

Hi Atlantic this is what happened.
Hubby has had the lucida for 7 years and love it he was using it everyday then one day he went to the local shop started up everything fine but on way home the motor just died as though no life in battery he tried starting it again and yes the battery was flat.
He had the alternator checked and brought a new battery and the motor was perfect again apart from all the warning lights staying on so he brought a new alternator  and still all warning lights on dashboard are staying on. He has checked all fuses all are fine .
Any help would be appreciated thanks June

When exactly do the warning lights come on?
I assume they're not on when the engine is off.

    Then there's no doubt.
Is the alternator new, reconditioned, or just straight out of a scrapyard?

Alternator is fecked. It wouldn't be something as obvious as a broken belt? I think there's a specific fuse for the charging circuit. Alternators from breakers never last.

    new alternator

Is it on the car long? Next thing is to put a voltmeter across the battery to see if it's charging. You should get a replacement under warranty.

You really need to get it to an auto electrician. Thankfully this fault is common on Estimas/Lucidas
