    Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Tonight's Late Late Show looks like it could be a bit of craic......

For the day that's in it, I'm posting a short clip from The Quiet Man, it's one of the few 'Oirish' movies that I can actually watch without too much cringing - I love the feistiness of Mary Kate Danaher and the chemistry between her and Sean Thornton (O'Hara & Wayne) they remained very close friends up to his death in 1979.
"It's a bold one you are! Who gave you leave to be kissing me?" :D

When is a Saturday not a Saturday? When it's today, and it's actually Friday. Bloody weird day today. Anyone else check the scores this afternoon to find there were none?

Anyway...What the hell? A kind of good non-misery lineup?

    Wow, great. See yis later.

Micheal Healy-Rae can trace his ancestors back to that bunch of lads St Patrick drove out of Ireland.

For one day and one show, Tubridy will actually be justified in asking the guests

"Do you have any Irish connections?"

Oh I'm feeling very Irish today :D ðŸ€

I know it's St Patrick's Day and all the gobblygook that goes with it,but can RTE not afford any guests from outside of Ireland anymore,or worse still outside of RTE?.

The short answer no. The long answer that Rte would spin is that the viewers want to know more about the guests from our own shores and in RTE (because they are cheaper to have on the show compared to a high profile international guest). ;)

No, not going to happen now :(

Had some good chances in the first half, didn't convert them.

Would have been great to see them win, especially with the Womens Rugby World Cup being played here this year

So Paul, let's forget about your career and anything. Tell me about your depression and alcoholism.

'Back from the Brink' is still in the top 3 sports autobiographies I've ever read. McGrath can be very witty and entertaining, he's very easy to chat to, but Ryan will lower his voice, speak a bit deeper and concentrate on the bad stuff.

    Ireland's number 13 deserves a Grand Slam,
and I'd love to give her one.

Dunphy probably makes the most of the free booze in the green room in RTE. I wouldn't blame him.

A decent interviewer would put her at ease and lighten the conversation up. But we have Tubs (or F'Arcy).

    Good Evening Harry,

Forget about the double time, it's Michael Healy-Rae's taxi bill that is concerning me. Travelling from rural Ireland to the big smoke doesn't come cheap :(

Niamh Lyons scored a great try to get Ireland to 7 points which is something for them at least.

And now the game is over.......England scored another try to make it 27-7 so far in their favour.

    :(
